The
Shetland Division is under the jurisdiction of the Main Board of
Directors of Fremont Baseball, Inc. Play is governed by "Pony
Baseball, Rules and Regulations." These rule AMENDMENTS contain
only those exceptions voted on by Fremont Baseball Inc. to better
provide for the well being of our local players. All rules and Amendments
are subject to board interpretation and rules not covered in this
book will be decided by the Board of Directors based on the spirit
of the game and the best interest of Fremont Baseball Incorporated.
1) All games will be 3 innings or 1 1/2 hours.
2) 9 players on the field, 4th outfielder or Catcher (optional) Catcher
is to remain on the outside or behind the backstop while the batter
is batting.
3) Rotation of team's batting order and defensive positions are recommended.
4) No stealing or leading off of the bases are allowed at any time.
5) No more than 3 coaches per team on the field during game.
6) Exercises and stretching are mandatory before every practice and
game.
7) The distance between bases will be 45 feet.
8) When a player
is called "OUT" he/she will be sent to
the bench. No player called "OUT" will remain on the playing
field.
9) Coach pitching will begin no earlier than the 6th game or later
than mid-season.
10) Coach's will
pitch 3 pitches and if no hits are made the "tee" will
be used. 3 attempts on the "tee" after that the batter is
out.
11) Ball's hit inside the diamond (baseline) will be a single, if
no play is made on the runner.
12) Ball's hit past the baseline are up to the base coach whether
to send the runner or not.
13) All "OUT" calls
are to be determined to the benefit of the runner if it is to close
to call.
14) Each Manager or coach is responsible for their own teams parents
when on the playing field.
15) No more than 8 players age 6 on one team.
